Obstetrics and Gynecology
About the Program
Residency Overview
During the four-year program in OBGYN, residents have progressive responsibility in managing obstetrical patients. Prime Garden City Hospital averages approximately 500 births per year. Residents take an active role in nearly all deliveries, as opposed to being limited to a smaller population of patients. Gynecologic surgery is integrated throughout all years in training and according to skill level.
Continuity clinic is coordinated in established practices under the supervision of staff physicians, allowing for ample experience across the spectrum of prenatal, postnatal and gynecologic care. Didactics are scheduled for Monday and Thursday mornings.
The Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Garden City Hospital is Fully Accredited by the ACGME.
