WAYNE COUNTY URBAN SEARCH-AND-RESCUE TEAM TO TRAIN AT GARDEN CITY HOSPITAL

Garden City, MI – The Wayne County urban search-and-rescue (US&R) team will be conducting training at Garden City Hospital’s Office Centre East building outside of the hospital. The training will be on locating victims of structural collapse and building extrication (rescue). The building is currently unoccupied, and all action will be for training purposes only. Each city or community in Wayne County will have a firefighter present to utilize the training.

When: The training is taking place on Tuesday, October 13 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Where: Garden City Hospital Office Centre East Building – 6245 Inkster Road Garden City, MI 48135 (the building off Inkster Road, in front of the Medical Office Building).

Media Instructions: If you are coming for pictures or video footage, please park in either the Medical Office Building or the main campus parking lot. Please be sure to maintain a comfortable distance, when needed, for safety purposes.
