Garden City Hospital Begins COVID-19 Vaccinations for Wayne County Per Michigan Vaccination Group Guidelines 

Garden City, MI – January 22, 2021, The State of Michigan recently announced the early expansion of COVID-19 vaccines to its next vaccination group, including seniors 65 and over and some frontline essential workers. Garden City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare in Wayne County, Michigan is providing community vaccinations.

Starting today, individuals who meet current Michigan vaccine guidelines can schedule their appointment using the link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040A48A4AB2EABFD0-gchfamily. Due to high call volumes, we are asking individuals to please refer to our vaccine information page at www.gch.org/covid19vaccine for more information. The COVID-19 vaccine clinic is located in our Medical Office Building, 6255 Inkster Road Garden City, MI 48135, Monday-Friday, during appointment times of 8:00 am–4:30 pm. At this time, we are distributing the Pfizer vaccine. We have obtained 1,000 doses for the community and have opened appointment slots based on this availability. As more doses become available to us, we will continue to add more appointments. We appreciate your patience.

Individuals must bring their driver’s license or another form of identification and their insurance information (if available) to their vaccine appointment. Vaccination is covered for those without insurance. Prior to vaccination, individuals are encouraged to review the COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ Sheet and V-Safe Information Sheet available on our website, gch.org. Garden City Hospital also recommends individuals who have concerns or questions on whether they should be vaccinated to please contact their family doctor prior to scheduling their appointment. Second dose appointments will be scheduled during the first dose appointment.
