Westland, MI – Garden City Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, and the City of Westland are celebrating the opening of the new Westland Community Health Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 beginning at 3:30pm. The community health center is located at 35700 Warren Road in Westland. The event will begin with opening remarks from Governor Gretchen Whitmer and will include tours of the community health center, guided by members of Garden City Hospital staff.
The Westland Community Health Center houses a state-of-the-art free-standing emergency department which offers access to quality care, close to home. With more than $11 million invested, this center offers a spacious, open floor plan emergency room with 12 private rooms, two state of the art trauma bays, CT, digital x-rays, and a full-service lab. The free-standing emergency department will be staffed by emergency medicine trained physicians and experienced staff that have brought Garden City Hospital local and national recognition for clinical expertise and patient safety. Along with the emergency department, the health center is home to an outpatient family medicine clinic, physical therapy clinic, outpatient radiology services, lab services and multi-specialty physician offices, offering Westland access to a wide range of medical services in one convenient location.
